Shakeouts for No Bake, Green Sand, Flasked and Flaskless Applications

Carrier non-conveying shakeouts efficiently shake out castings and reduce sand lump size. These shakeout machines utilize a vibratory motion to separate the sand from the castings, allowing sand to pass through a perforated deck. The large, non-conveying shakeout significantly reduces your foundry’s shakeout time and labor. Designs available for no-bake and green sand in both flasked and flaskless configurations.

Lump Breaking

Breaks no-bake molds down into small lumps to prepare for downstream attrition to be followed by mechanical and/or thermal reclamation.

No-Bake Sand

Separate solid, chemically bonded sand molds from metal castings while breaking the molds down to smaller lumps.

Green Sand

Controlled, high-frequency vibratory motion breaks down mold lumps, gently stripping the reusable sand away from castings and dropping it through a perforated screen.

Flasked Molds

No-bake and green sand shakeouts safely separate hardened sand from metal castings and empty the sand from the foundry flask. The heavy-duty vibratory action knocks the sand out without degrading or damaging the fragile metal casting.

Flaskless Molds

Efficiently separate rigid sand molds from metal castings and break down sand lumps without damaging the finished part. For flaskless molding, this process is critical for safely stripping away chemically bonded sand and preparing it for downstream reclamation.

Chemically Bonded Systems

Breaks down chemically bonded molds and separates sand from castings using engineered vibratory energy. Effective lump reduction prepares bonded sand for subsequent attrition, reclamation, and reuse. Primarily designed for No-Bake systems (e.g., Phenolic Urethane No-Bake (PUNB), furan, or ester-cured).
