The Basic Theory of Spiral Elevators

Vibrating spiral elevators use the same principles of vibration that vibrating conveyors use to move materials. However, the spiral elevator has a trough that is helical in shape rather than a long, straight trough. Material is introduced via a feed spout at the bottom of the unit and moved upward as it conveys in circles around a centertube. Material is discharged from the spiral elevator at a height of up to 60 feet above the feed point.
